Important CBP Update: Southwest Border Operations

On Friday December 22, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) notified the public in a Statement from CBP on Operational Changes that rail operations would resume in Eagle Pass and El Paso effective at 2pm Eastern Time.
CBP noted that there have made a number of operational adjustments at different land border crossings as follows:

  • In Eagle Pass, Texas, vehicular processing remains suspended at Eagle Pass International Bridge 1;
  • In San Diego, California, San Ysidro’s Pedestrian West operations remain suspended;
  • In Lukeville, Arizona, the Lukeville Port of Entry operations remain suspended; and
  • In Nogales, Arizona, the Morely Gate border crossing operations remain suspended.
