Strike at Vancouver Fraser Port Authority nearing end

We are pleased to inform you that the strike affecting workers at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is on the verge of concluding, as a tentative agreement has been reached between BC Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) and International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) on a four-year deal. The agreement recognizes the skills of BC’s waterfront workforce. Details of the agreement to be released after ratification by both parties. Over 7,000 ILWU members participated in the strike, causing immediate disruptions. Updates on the resolution to follow.
