Positive Update Regarding the Canadian ILWU

Yesterday, Noatum received an update on the Canadian International Longshore and Warehouse Union’s (ILWU’s) and British Columbia Maritime Employers Association’s (BCMEA’s) negotiations. There are ongoing meetings currently taking place between both parties, with labor/staff still on track and already scheduled to continue during the upcoming weekend. By implementing this proactive measure, the likelihood of a strike is dramatically reduced and no strike is currently planned. This enables the parties to concentrate their efforts on engaging in constructive discussions aimed at achieving a mutual resolution.
