Long Beach Delays, AGAIN!

The impact of the railcar shortages on terminal operations can no longer be ignored, we are now starting to see the effects on the west coast. Due to railcar shortages, limited rail allocations, and lack of rail crew, dwell times on the west coast have soared to an estimated 10-30days. This shortage began last month due to sever winter weather that disrupted operations across the central United States. Terminal operators have acknowledged the issue. Despite this, they are unable to provide an answer to when the appropriate number of railcars will become available. At this time the rail situation is constantly evolving; Noatum will continue to closely monitor and release updates on any significant changes.
