Zaragoza – Barcelona Railway Cut

We are writing to you to inform you about the railway closure between Zaragoza and Barcelona, scheduled for this summer by the Spanish Railway Infrastructure Administration (ADIF).

During the period from June 24, 2024 to September 12, 2024, significant works will be carried out in the Castellbisbal area. These works have as their main objective the implementation of “standard gauge”, along with improvements in infrastructure, energy, road renewal and software updates, among others.

The impact on railway traffic will be notable:

• From June 24 to August 26, cuts and interventions will be carried out in several sections, which could cause delays and congestion in train circulation.

• From August 26 to September 12, there will be a total cut-off of rail traffic in both directions of the Barcelona – Zaragoza line.

To mitigate these inconveniences, we will increase the road container transportation service using trucks during the affected period. This solution is designed to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of your shipments.
