Statement on the Coronavirus

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION SENT TO NOATUM EMPLOYEES (03-17-2020)

In the light of the new events about the evolution of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the new actions taken by the local authorities of the most affected areas, I want to inform you about the measures adopted by Noatum:

  • Starting today, employees of Spain, Portugal and France who can develop their job activities from home must stay at home.
  • For the other countries where the Coronavirus is expanding (North America, South America, Eastmed, North Europe and North Africa), systems are getting prepared and home office will be implemented at the earliest possible.
  • Work shifts and extra security measures for employees that need to go to their workplace are being implemented by local management. For instance, extra cleaning activities to ensure the safest possible conditions and wide space/separation between individuals.

Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION SENT TO NOATUM EMPLOYEES (03-12-2020)

It is undeniable that the impact of the coronavirus is increasing every day globally. In these difficult times when we all must give our best and act together to try to overcome this situation as soon as possible.
As per previous communications, our main concern is (1) ensuring the safety of Noatum’s employees and (2) working towards mitigating any possible impact to our business activities and the services provided to our customers.

New Health & Security measures:

  • Recommend avoiding face to face meetings with customers and suppliers and promote phone calls and videoconference meetings as an alternate way of communication whenever possible.
  • Recommend avoiding trips to risk areas (defined by Sanitary Authorities) in private transportations.
  • Strongly recommend avoiding any recreational trip to risk areas. Any trip to a coronavirus affected region should be reported to the immediate superior in order to adopt additional preventive H&S measures.

Business measures taken to minimize the impact of the coronavirus on our activities are:

  • Completion of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) in every location of the group specific to this pandemic.
  • Ensure that home office is technically available across the group in case it is decided to keep temporarily all or part of the staff away from the office. For instance, home office has been partly established today in Madrid following instructions from local authorities. Teams are fully operational, both at home or at offices, and services are running smoothly.

Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION SENT TO NOATUM EMPLOYEES (03-05-2020)

Due to the outbreak of the 2019 n-CoV (Coronavirus), we want to share with you the measures adopted to manage the current situation.

First of all, we want to recognize the steps taken locally in the most affected areas, specifically Greater China. Our teams there have done a great job managing the crisis, creating a protocol to keep all staff accountable and safe, searching for alternate solutions to maintain our business services.

We also want to recognize the great job done by all Noatum’s staff that have seen their daily activities affected by the coronavirus outbreak. It is remarkable how they have found alternate solutions to provide high quality services despite setbacks.

Noatum Group’s management is fully committed to the health and safety of its employees. This is our main concern, although we are also committed to ensure the performance of our business activities to our customers and to aid all stakeholders with the best endeavors according to all the circumstances in each moment. Regarding how we are going to manage this crisis from now on, we are going to extend the good practices done in the first affected areas to all Noatum locations.

These are the decisions adopted to protect employees:

  • Health & Safety (H&S) prevention: adopt all WHO recommendations in all Noatum locations. Promote home office in areas according to high infection risks and following the national competent authorities recommendations.
  • Business trips: all business trips, both national or international, involving public transportation are suspended until further notice (all employees currently out can return to their place of residence).
  • Events: suspend all participation in events, both managed or attended by Noatum staff, involving massive concentration of individuals in the same room or hall (i.e. fairs, exhibitions, conferences, etc.).

Thanks to everyone for your understanding and your collaboration in this situation.
