First look at new flagship logistics hub

Located in the ‘Golden Logistics Triangle’, Noatum Logistics’ latest flagship facility has a 230K sq ft footprint, is of a net-zero carbon construction and incorporates a three-story 300 sq ft mezzanine, with six miles of hanging garment rails, 0.5 mile of conveyors, automation and leading-edge robotics.

The bespoke 530K sq ft state-of-the-art distribution centre is situated in Biggleswade, Central Bedfordshire and was commissioned to provide warehousing and contract logistics for UK retail, wholesale and outlet channels, as part of a new five year deal with a leading retail client, from the end of July 2023.

Steve Hicks, Managing Director Contract Logistics North Europe said. “Noatum Logistics invested millions of pounds in the ePoint Medway eCommerce fulfilment facility, which opened in 2021 and has already processed over one million stock items. The same scale of investment has been repeated with ePoint Biggleswade, which is projected to process almost two million pieces in 2025.”

The new facility is designed to accommodate the clients’ ambitious growth projections through the next five years, with Noatum Logistics expected to process almost two million pieces through Biggleswade in 2025 and built-in resilience that will handle peak capacity exceeding three million items.
