Located within a 150-acre landscaped commercial park, ePOINT Biggleswade offers 560,000 sq ft of dedicated eCommerce, value-added warehousing, fulfilment space, and office accommodation. With 15m clear eaves height, over 6,000 pallet positions, and 330,000 sq ft of mezzanine floors, the facility is built for high-density storage and fast throughput.
Complete omnichannel solutions are supported by tailored value-added services for retail, wholesale, and eCommerce. Advanced robotics, automation, and materials handling systems are seamlessly managed by integrated warehouse control technology, optimising performance across complex, multi-floor operations. Narrow-aisle configurations and specialised areas, such as garment racking, maximise storage efficiency, while robotic picking and other customised solutions adapt capacity to demand.
The site features 24 dock levelling doors, 4 high-level double-deck access doors, 43 HGV parking spaces, and an Energy Centre with guaranteed supply and PV roof panels, supporting a drive towards Net Zero Carbon. Security and resilience are assured with 24/7 on-site monitoring, full CCTV coverage, a comprehensive fire strategy with sprinkler system, and HMRC-approved bonded warehousing.
Our mezzanine solution was selected for flexibility, strength and ease of installation. Its lightweight design and fast installation means that we can reconfigure areas, as need directs.
Current configuration includes 3 floors @ 100,000 sq. ft. and a further 30,000 sq. ft.
Roller and monorail, conveyor systems accelerate the internal movement of bulk and single product and have been tailored to our customers’ needs.
On Inbound conveyoring we apply a barcode followed by inline weight checks against what vendors have declared with directed putaway from the WMS once checks complete.
Outbound conveyor processing involves in line printing of packing lists and RFID tags, products are diverted for Value added services before an inline weight check, multi directional strapping, carrier label application to outbound sortation area.
Safe and efficient narrow aisle working depends entirely on the right equipment.
The ability to travel and lift at the same time, is standard in many facilities, but we require forklifts that can achieve high-speed lifting and travel, even at maximum lift heights. The storage system has been developed with flexibility for both Pallet and Carton picking.
The conception, creation and implementation of supply chain and inventory management technology is a critical successful factor for Noatum Logistics and its customers.
At ePoint Biggleswade human intervention has been minimised with products being moved directly by conveyors and robotics. Our Blue Yonder warehouse management system and conveyor control system becomes the brains of the operation
Inbound Process: vendor weight checks with directed putaway with conveyors and robotics moving products to storage locations.
Outbound Process: products are moved to the ground floor by robots and conveyors, for inline packing lists and RFID tags to be added before human intervetion for various customer value added services. On completion of value added services the products move by conveyors for final in line weight check box strapping , carrier label application to outbound sortation area.
With over 500,000 sq ft of warehouse space our bots take all the walking and lifting of products away from our colleagues and have become a key partner to those team members.
The Locus robots have been fully integrated with the Blue Yonder warehouse management system and conveyor control system managing priorities such as next day deliveries to ensure customer orders meet carrier pick up times.
Customer peaks are smoothed with the use of Locus bots operating 24 hours a day and we have the ability to quickly increase robots as customer demands increase.
Picking errors reduced with product to be picked displayed on the bot’s display screen. Once a team member has completed pick or put away the robot directs them to the next nearest bot for their next task so reducing walking.
