Minister O&#8217;Regan aims to reach an agreement soon and has requested written settlement terms from the mediator. The terms will be shared with the unions and employers&#8217; association for consideration. The strike has already impacted trade, with an estimated daily disruption of $379 million. Vancouver&#8217;s role as an import hub for consumer goods from Asia adds to the concerns.
