{"id":17638,"date":"2021-09-16T09:45:05","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T14:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.miq.com\/?p=17011"},"modified":"2021-09-16T09:45:05","modified_gmt":"2021-09-16T14:45:05","slug":"covid-19-cases-in-southeast-china-more-than-double-as-delta-spreads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.noatumlogistics.com\/us\/covid-19-cases-in-southeast-china-more-than-double-as-delta-spreads\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 CASES IN SOUTHEAST CHINA MORE THAN DOUBLE AS DELTA SPREADS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New local COVID-19 infections more than doubled in China&#8217;s southeastern province of Fujian, health authorities said on Tuesday, prompting officials to quickly roll out measures including travel restrictions to halt the spread of the virus.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Fujian&#8217;s outbreak began in Putian, a city of 3.2 million, with the first case reported on Sept. 10. Preliminary tests on samples from some Putian cases showed patients had contracted the highly transmissible Delta variant.<\/p>\n<p>The outbreak has since spread south to Xiamen, which reported 32 new cases of community transmission for Sept.13 compared with just one infection a day earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the further upgrade of Xiamen&#8217;s epidemic control please note the following lockdown measures from September 15, 2021:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Warehouses will only accept a delivery with an appointment, and no delivery procedures will be processed for vehicles without an appointment.<\/li>\n<li>All warehouses are restricted from accepting any cargo from Covid-19 medium risk and high-risk areas in China.<\/li>\n<li>Suppliers of LCL shipments located in other cities that feed into Xiamen are experiencing trucking shortages effecting deliveries to Xiamen warehouses.<\/li>\n<li>Truckers will be required to isolate 14 days upon returning from Xiamen, which is causing trucking providers to avoid the city.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Like Yantian and Ningbo COVID issues experienced earlier this summer, we expect this COVID outbreak in Xiamen to have a lingering negative supply chain impact for weeks to come.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, please<a href=\"https:\/\/noatumlogistics.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=8951580316fc7f4fec4b48f3e&amp;id=68fca055fb&amp;e=a5c3c99eb1\"> contact your local Noatum Logistics representative.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New local COVID-19 infections more than doubled in China&#8217;s southeastern province of Fujian, health authorities said on Tuesday, prompting officials to quickly roll out measures including travel restrictions to halt&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":16077,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[358],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-17638","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-supply-chain-alerts"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
