Noatum Logistics has been notified by the Houston Port Authority that operations have been temporarily suspended at Bayport and Barbours Cut Terminals in Houston.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Please see formal Houston Port Authority notice below distributed Thursday morning, March 19, 2020:<\/p>\n

The Port Authority has learned that someone who worked at both Barbours Cut and Bayport container terminals tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus. In light of this information, and in an abundance of caution, both public terminals are closed, and operations are temporarily suspended while a thorough investigation is being conducted.\u00a0 The Port Authority\u2019s other public facilities remain open.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Houston Ship Channel and the 200-plus private terminals that comprise the greater Port of Houston are also still operating.<\/em><\/p>\n

The health and safety of Port Houston\u2019s employees, users, customers and community remains its first priority. Port Houston is in communication with public authorities and health agencies while an investigation is underway.<\/em><\/p>\n

Port Houston Customer Service staff\u00a0will\u00a0not<\/u>\u00a0be available by phone.\u00a0 We will work to answer emails as best as we can.<\/em><\/p>\n

All decisions on vessel schedules, demurrage, and all others will be determined as soon as possible.\u00a0 All updates will be communicated as often as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n

Port Houston will provide regular updates as warranted as this situation unfolds.<\/em><\/p>\n

Noatum Logistics is currently reviewing all shipments under management in transit to the port of Houston and will be notifying those customers potentially impacted.\u00a0 The length of closure or contingency planning details from the Port Authority of Houston have not been made available.
